As a Mennonite/Anabaptist school, our Christian education emphasis has some unique elements.

Christian Education at RJC |
|
Going to school at RJC means that students are immersed in a wholistic approach to Christianity as a faith and a way of life.
Every student is required to take Christian Ethics as part of their academic load.
Every day, the students gather in our chapel for a short time of community building, learning, and prayer. RJC students have travelled internationally to participate in learning and service with agencies such as Mennonite Central Committee, Heifer International, Mennonite Disaster Service, and Habitat for Humanity. Current international trips focus on Guatemala and Mississippi, USA. Alternative Learning and Service Opportunities is an intential week of learning outside of the classroom, where each student is guided through opportunities to serve others in the larger community and the world. Local pastors volunteer their time to meet with students who wish to explore the foundations of Christian belief, leading some to baptism upon their confession of faith. Once a year, the school takes time out of the regularly scheduled classes to meet more intensely regarding issues of faith, the Bible and everyday life.
