As we continue to respond to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic we will remain in contact with parents through email and on our website. Our primary concern remains the health and safety of our staff and students. We are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to take direction from the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Ministry of Education.
Students are being asked to stay home to best protect themselves and society from the spread of COVID-19. It is a time of uncertainty for all of us, including our students, and our thoughts and prayers are with all of them at this time. Currently our teaching staff is working on connecting with students today through email with some type of educational opportunity for them to do. This is in an effort to keep students connected and engaged with our school community, and is not to be a stress or a burden. To be clear, students will not be penalized in any way if they choose not to do the work, or if they do not complete it. Now is a time to focus on public safety, and we hope this virtual extension of our school community will help support some of them during this time of disruption in their lives. If the work teachers send today is unhelpful, or distracting from more pressing needs, please disregard it.
We will be in touch soon as more information becomes available about next steps, both in regards to public safety and delivery of educational programming. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Ryan Wood, Principal
