RJC COVID-19 UPDATE: March 19

Mar 19, 2020 | RJC News

Due to the public health threat resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, and following the directive of the Government of Saskatchewan, RJC will pause educational operations beginning Friday, March 20 until Friday, March 27, 2020.

In an effort to stem this public health risk, schools have been instructed to direct all staff to stay home during this time, and the school will be effectively closed except for purposes deemed essential. This pause in educational operations will allow for longer-term planning to take place, and afford time for our staff to prepare personally and professionally for next steps. Presently, our dormitories are closed and all of our students are at home or in safe local accommodations. For this fact we are immeasurably grateful.

The safety of our students, staff, and society at large remains our primary concern and RJC will fully comply with these government directives in an effort to do our part in addressing this public health challenge.  For now, the full implications of this pandemic to education remain unclear, and we ask for patience as we seek clarity and direction during this time of pause. Rest assured that we will answer all questions in due course, always keeping our students’ best interests in mind.

While phone messages may be checked periodically during this time of pause, we encourage you to direct any pressing inquiries to our email at office@rjc.sk.ca and we will respond as able.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our students, our staff, and the world at this time. We ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers as well as we take next steps to face this global challenge together.

Sincerely,

Ryan Wood, Principal
